Belgian Cycling Paradise

Belgium is also the birthplace of cycle racing and a country where this sport is extremely popular.
Who hasn't been utterly enthralled watching the Tour of Flanders or followed Liège-Bastogne-Liège?
World champions such as Eddy Merckx, Benoni Beheyt, Rik Van Looy, Johan Museeuw, Freddy Maertens, Claude Criquielion and Tom Boonen are legendary; as are Olympic medal winners Patrick Sercu, Roger Illegems, Filip Meirhaeghe, Walter Godefroot and Axel Merckx, to name but a few.
The Belgian Cycling Paradise (Outside Middle Temple at Fountain Court; entry is free) is an interactive exhibition and meeting point for cycling enthusiasts. You can, for example, virtually cycle through Belgium or around 'Flanders Fields' in Ypres, on the Grand Place in Brussels or even in the stunning area around Waterloo. Every day the virtual cycling activity offers participants the chance to win a trip to Belgium for four people.
To add glamour to the great Belgian sporting tradition and as a symbol of the friendship between two cycling nations, a number of Olympic racing cyclists led by Eddy Merckx (triple world champion and five times winner of the Tour de France) and Belgian sports personalities, will participate in a 'Brussels-London' cycling trip (317 km from Brussels, via Ypres and Maidstone to London) arriving at the Belgium House on the opening day of the Olympic Games!
